Simple Side Salad




Our Simple Side Salad

* We chop up romaine hearts, only as much as we need. 
* Chopped tomatoes or cherry/ grape tomatoes
* Chopped red onion
* Ground black pepper
* A splash of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
* A splash of balsamic vinegar, red wine vinegar or both if we're feelin' frisky ;)
* Sprinkle of grated parm from a block, not the canned or pre-grated stuff
* In the summer I grow basil so a few shredded leaves per salad are amazing. 
That's our basic salad since we keep all of these ingredients in stock. 

Additional tasties: 
* Chopped red pepper
* Spinach leaves
* Arugula
* Cucumber
* Avocado 
* Zucchini 
* Fresh Basil, oregano, marjoram, rosemary, thyme
* A little minced garlic
