Traveling is an amazing experience in life and as the saying goes, it's the only thing you can buy that makes you richer. With proper research and planning, you can get a high value taste of a location on any budget. As for my planning, I have three other people to prepare for which increases our travel budget by a good amount.
As the control freak that I am, I scour the web, read travel books, investigate blogs and basically break down a location until I'm over prepared. I quickly realized that it requires a vast amount of media to gather all of the pertinent info. Believe me, I have notebooks full of information! In the beginning I only sought out what to see in a location, nothing else, my mistake! I now jokingly refer to my research as our divorce prevention plan as traveling unprepared can be very stressful. Time to time we witness other couples or groups frustrated over the simple things, we've been there and we understand their frustration. To save you from the same experience, everything I feel that is a need to know tip or marriage saver is included in this blog to prepare you for your own smooth endeavor.
My family is a group of explorers. We love to visit behind the scene neighborhoods, the locals, family run restaurants, interesting shops and of course, the main attractions. We don't leave a stone unturned as we cover miles of city on foot, which is free and adds sights that you would never see with any other transportation. Local specialties and drinks are an absolute must to try for us. We've learned so much about life on our travels. Every trip is an absolute adventure!
